Barney Bramble
 Barney is a 12 year old coloured cob gelding that I purchased recently from Gloucestershire. Although he is older than what I was looking for I decided that I could have a lot of fun with him doing some hunting, hacking, dressage and showing. Having only ridden twice in the last 5 years I thought I would be quite nervous getting back in the saddle. As it turned out I couldn't wait to get on and have a go! He is a lovely ride although he needs some reminder schooling as he's only been hacked out for the last two years. I shall also need quite a few lessons! Barney has been with me now for over two weeks and has settled in very well. He is being hacked out and is coping well with all the hill work. He's certainly lost some weight and is starting to get a bit fitter so hopefully we can start doing some flatwork in the near future.I'm looking forward to playing around with him this winter and competing him next season and will keep you posted with how we are progressing. |
