This is Charlgrove Bezique (Bezi, pronounced bizzy for short). He is a 15.2hh TB X Welsh Sec.B. He is 26 and I have owned him since he was 5. Bezi is my bestest buddy!

During his career Bezi has won everything from Handy Pony to Dressage and Showing. He and I have competed all over the UK at County Shows with several good results in Small Hunter and Ladies Hunter classes. Unfortunately we just missed qualifying for the RIHS (Royal International Horse Show), and the HOYS (Horse Of The Year Show), by one place which was very sickening!

Bezi has also been successful in Dressage Competitions representing our Riding Club at Area Level and qualifying for the Pairs Finals once and the Dressage To Music Finals three times in a row. At our first attempt in the Finals we came 5th which I was delighted with. We also qualified for the PC Dressage Championships at Weston Park in Staffordshire by winning our Arena at the PC Area Dressage Competition.

In 1999 I entered Bezi for many Veteran classes of which he won all but one and qualified for the Super Solvitax Veteran Finals. He also won and was well placed in other show classes and managed to qualify for the Ponies (UK) Championships twice in the Small Hunter class. Not bad for an old boy of 19!

Bezi was retired at the age of 21. I last rode him out hacking in the summer of 2001 where he stumbled quite badly going downhill towards home through a wood, so I made the decision that he won't be ridden again and will now stay at home where he is perfectly content and totally spoilt!!
