Regal Dragon (Rastas) was a 16.0hh Reg. Irish TB Large Riding Horse. I had owned him since he was three years old, and had shown him since he was six.

Rastas was a half brother to the well-known Champion Show Hunter/Working Hunter Pony/Small Riding Horse Young Dragonara. (They are both by Dragon Palace).

I had Rastas broken in as a six year old as he was quite a slow developer more mentally rather than physically. This was the best decision I made with him and his show results (below) proved this.

Rastas was shown very successfully In-hand as a two and three year old with his previous owner. He qualified for the Royal International Horse Show and was 2nd two years running at the British Show Hack, Cob and Riding Horse Championships.

Unfortunately Rastas had to be put to sleep on 18th July 2000. I miss him so much. Everyone who was involved with him got so much pleasure from him, and he was such a joy to watch in the ring.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank two people: Jane who produced Rastas and Sam who rode him to so many great wins. You both did a wonderful job and for that I can never thank you enough.

Thank you for everything boy and we miss you more than words can say.
