The Welsh Section B
![]() Height: Not exceeding 13.2 hands high (137.2 cms). General Character: The general description of ponies in Section A of the Stud Book (see Welsh Sec A section) is applicable to those in Section B, but more particularly the Section B pony shall be described as a riding pony, with quality, riding action, adequate bone and substance, hardiness and constitution and with pony character. SHOWING RULES: Trimming Hints: It is now a ruling that Welsh Ponies are shown unplaited and, like a Mountain Pony, it should be realised that too much trimming and pulling of manes and tails detracts from their native pony character. All Sections A B C & D must not be plaited. |
